Hitch Hiking through Australia
Australia.
The Land of Nopes. The land of layed back life The Land where everything lives and moves. Happiness, sweat, sun and sand, and a sky is as vast as the dreams you get there. Oh and equally huge mosquitos.

It was my first long trip far away from home. My Partner and i got our working Holiday Visas back in 2014 and left as soon as i finished high school. We financed the planetickets and visa expenses with selling icecream on the beach in south of France, and got to Australia with very little money. This is partly why we decided to travel north to work on a Mango Farm when we arrived in Melbourne.

So we hitch hiked our way north. We lived with locals in exchange for a little work here and there. Our way took us all the way up towards Cairns. It was such a rich experience, we met so many incredible and kind hearted people, saw even more incredible places and did all sorts of little experiences, from working with autistic kids and elderly, to doing maintenance in the rainforest, and from working with the firefighters in the mines in the desert to taking care of wild animals in a Wildlife hospital in the table lands..

We eventually hitch hiked back down towards Melbourne, where we settled for a couple Months -and totally fell in love with the place.
Our last 2 Months we worked on a Flower farm on Phillip Island, just south of Melbourne.

Here is a Collection of one year of Hitchhiking, walking through the oldest Rainforests and standing on immense, empty beaches, falling asleep under a billion stars and waking up in the middle of Kangaroos and Koalas. One year of discovery, people, magic moments, stunning nature, and loads and loads of fun.
Enjoy.
