Laos

When you've heard it you must see it; when you've seen it make a judgement with your heart. (Laotian Proverb)

Laos is amazing Country where you can still find a lot of places that our untouched from Tourism and modern society. By the time we arrived over there we had our own Motorbike, traveling with two English bikers, Sam an amazing really real person with who i'm still in contact now and who i really love and her Boyfriend of that time, Angus, and a Swiss 65 year old adventurer we called Papi, an amazing person that taught us a lot. We split up quite soon with Sam and Angus and went on small "roads" far away from big villages. It was the best time, i never felt so in peace like over there. We woke up in the morning without knowing where we would be in the evening, woke up and went to sleep with the sun, and stayed in small villages and got really in touch with the people. Even though communicating with words was quite not really an Option, we got along and talked with hands and through drawings and pictures.
I had rarely seen people that had less possesions than those living in these mountains, in small wooden cabins made out of braided wood and dried Herbs, with a pig and sometimes a cow, women and men working hard to get their Children through the year. But even with their difficult and poor life these were the most generous and happy people i have ever seen. They spend the hole day laughing, smiling, making jokes and they would without hesitating kill their last pig to feed us travellers.

We went through the Northern Mountains, all the way to the Chinese Border, and then in the End down South until Luang Prabang where we had to sell our Motorbike as we could not take it into Thailand. Here is a collection of the favorite moments in my life. I love Laos with all my Heart.
